Medical Card Holders
Medical card holders are entitled to optical services once every 2 years.
We carry out a thorough eye examination and assess if glasses are needed. Your eye examination is fully covered under the medical card scheme. Glasses, if needed, are no longer fully covered with us due to rising industry costs.
To have an eye test through your medical card, you need to get prior authorisation from the HSE. Contact us and we will process this for you.
